Leading Organizational Change

Leading Organizational Change
project meeting

In this three full day, participants will learn about how change is constant and moves the organization forward. It enables the organization to grow, innovate and compete in a global marketplace. The ability to lead an organization through change is an essential leadership skill. Participants in this program will receive in-depth training on leading organizational change – from starting an organizational change initiative through to sustaining of that change once implemented.

This program is designed for managers and leaders to develop a deeper understanding and a broader perspective of what it takes to lead a successful organizational change, regardless of the type or complexity of the change. At the conclusion of the program, participants will be comfortable leading a change to a successful conclusion utilizing the skills, knowledge, and tools learned in the program.

Objectives
The program learning objectives support participants being comfortable and confident leading a change to a successful conclusion:

  • Develop a deep understanding of organization change, with clarity about why change efforts fail and how they can succeed.
  • Assess the organization’s readiness for change to ensure that change efforts are successful and sustainable.
  • Explore and understand how change impacts both the organization and the people in it, with a deep understanding of the human impact.
  • Develop effective change adoption strategies.
  • Create a strategy for change implementation, stakeholder engagement, communication plans, and overall change management.
  • Develop an understanding of the difference between the project or organizational work of change, and the change management of the effort.
  • Ensure progress of both change business initiatives, and the change adoption strategy.
  • Learn how to identify change champions, and those who are indifferent or resistant to change and develop strategies to reduce resistance to change.
  • Develop strategies to effectively engage all in the process.
  • Explore the leader’s role in leading and ensuring the adoption of change.

As part of this workshop, Gina Abudi, the facilitator, offers a one-hour virtual Zoom check-in meeting scheduled approximately one (1) month after the 3rd day of the workshop. The purpose of this optional meeting is to provide participants in the 3-day program with the opportunity to ask additional questions, brainstorm challenges they are facing, discuss change management concepts in further details, and further engage with the facilitator and other participants.
